Egg Recall

Lately there is a new hype in the news: the massive recall of farm grade eggs. Hysteria has taken the country by storm and doctor's offices are full to the brim with people who are sick, or people who think they are sick. However, there are many thing's to clarify on this subject.

If you are sick, it would be wise to go to your doctor, regardless. Salmonella is no laughing matter as it's been known to take lives throughout history. You'll probably be given antibiotics or a shot depending on the severity of your condition or what degree of salmonella you have. This is an imperative step to take as your condition may rapidly deteriorate without you even knowing.

For those who believe they are sick, you should research what the symptoms are, while at the same time, scheduling an appointment with your doctor. No risks should be taken as salmonella is contagious through body fluids (spit, cough, sharing of drinking glasses etc.). However, it is not a smart move to cloud the doctor's office with mindless blabber that you "think" you are sick. Paranoia counts for over 20% of all doctor visits last year alone. So be mindful, but not mindless, of your surroundings and conditions.

For the time being it is best advised to throw away all eggs or egg byproducts that were recently bought. This may also include cookie-dough ice cream, pancake mix, or anything egg related , just for the time being so the virus is flushed out.

I have one more thing to say: How was all of this possible? Is all of the farm egg produce distribution at the mercy and judgement of only a handful of companies nationwide? And if all of these eggs are removed, where will they end up? Will they seep into the ground and contaminate our water system? Only questions can be asked for now as we wait for the aftermath of this crises to pass over...
