Western Drive External Harddrive Reviews
On a regular Sunday, I was reading the papers and came across an advertisment from target saying that a Passport Western Drive (WD) 320 GB was on sale for 47 dollars. Now, like any other person, I jumped at the idea since I needed to back up my newly bought computer for a cheap price. After I bought it, brought it home, and plugged it up, I had that feeling of excitement of whenever you purchase a new electronic. After I backed up my hard drive in around 30 minutes with such ease, I was stunned to find that in total, the Western Drive 320 GB only contained 291 GB. Now, like any other device, it never has WHAT the hard drive space actually is advertised as, but with over 20 GB missing??? i decided to take matters into my own hands and contacted Western Drive. After around two days of waiting, I was emailed a graph saying what is advertised, and what each device ACTUALLY contains. What I saw suprised me as the 320 GB version had the most amount of storage gone, while the 150 GB version has the least missing and the 1 TB version, the moderately missing version. At that moment, I was struck with a tinge of disappointment and then realized that it was partly my own fault that I didn't do the research and instead took a name brands word for it. However, I've displayed the order of the best External Hard Drive companies with technical support and quality included.
1. HP (#1 in technical support online)
2. Toshiba
3. Amazon
4. Apple (Has 2nd place in technical support in person and online)
5. Seagate
Again, much of these companies are my recommendations and yours might differ greatly in different senses.
